a playful, uplifting workshop where science meets embodied practice. Through a joyful blend of meditation, dance, and evidence-based tools from positive psychology, we’ll explore how to cultivate more joy, meaning, and gratitude in everyday life.
You’ll leave feeling energized, inspired, and equipped with practical strategies to spark more moments of joy and happiness in your life. No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to move, laugh, and smile!

❤︎ Co-hosted by Amanda Zink (A-Zink Dance) and Rebekah Erickson (Anchored Mind)

Amanda Zink started training at 3 and began teaching dance at 16 years old. A student of hiphop, sass, jazz funk, heels, commercial, ballet, lyrical, and tap, recently Amanda is a sought after choreographer and performer in music videos and at many outdoor music festivals, concerts and performances including: Rifflandia; $BBNO; Method Man; Redman; and opening for Shaggy and Aqua at Lake Down Shake Down. A huge advocate for self-love and acceptance, Amanda is about making movement fun for everyone and providing a safe place where everyone can feel encouraged, motivated and excited. When not dancing, Amanda is a mom, a Certified personal trainer through BCPRA, and an Educational Assistant.

Rebekah Erickson
Rebekah is a certified meditation facilitator, yoga teacher, and wellness educator dedicated to blending ancient spiritual practices with modern science to help people live healthier, happier, and more aligned lives. As the founder of Anchored Mind, she leads wellness workshops, retreats, and events, drawing on her meditation (200-hr) and yoga teacher training (200-hr), background in psychology and public health (MSc, MPH), experience working in mental health and wellness promotion, and studies of various spiritual traditions. Rebekah is passionate about the transformation that comes from tuning into the present moment, opening our hearts, and connecting more deeply to each other, our purpose and our higher Self.

The workshop will take place downtown Victoria BC at Solwood Studio, 1303 Broad St.
Tickets are $65. If cost is a barrier, sliding scale options are available — just send us a message. We want the Joy Lab to be accessible to all!

Wear whatever makes you feel happy (bright colours encouraged!) and comfortable to dance in. Sneakers are recommended.
